Magazine Reaches A Major Milestone
Founded in 1997 by Rodrigo Gudiño, Toronto-based Rue Morgue Magazine has grown into one of the leading and most respected horror publications in the world. The May 2010 edition of their publication marks the 100th published issue! To celebrate the milestone, Rue Morgue is printing a 100th EDITION SPECIAL ISSUE of its magazine with an all black cover design.
Rue Morgue is also hosting a 'black carpet' event at the Revival Event Theatre that will feature a special performance by the SQUID LID duo, among many others, as well as unveiling the official guest list for the Festival of Fear National Horror Expo 2010.
AND, as a tribute to its fans, Rue Morgue is releasing a FREE compilation album titled Hymns from the House of Horror! for download TONIGHT (right now!) at www.ruemorgueradio.com The special 100th Commemorative Edition hits newsstands TONIGHT (May 1st), and is destined to become an instant collector's edition. In honor of Rue Morgue's accomplishment, the home page of LATIN HORROR's website will go completely black and white for one week from May 1st-8th.
'The HORRORphiles # 5 - SANGRE'
Join us as we celebrate a special Cinco de Mayo (May 5th) horror showcase at the renown Anthology Film Archives, featuring the work of emerging Latino/a directors working within the genre of horror. Screening: Bajo La Sal, Monster Job Interview, Zombies and Cigarettes, Nave #527, Monstrous Nature, Garden of the Nameless, and trailers for Attack of the 30 Foot Chola, and La Casa Muda.
