Trailer
& poster for William Brent Bell's
possessed horror/thriller
In Italy,
a woman becomes involved in a series
of unauthorized exorcisms during her
mission to discover what happened to
her mother, who allegedly murdered
three people during her own
exorcism.
THE
DEVIL INSIDE appears to be
another promising "found-footage" /
pseudo "documentary"
hybrid that looks to follow in the
lucrative footsteps of The
Last Exorcism, a film that did
incredibly well (in no small
measure) as a result of the large
Latino patronage it garnered -
especially among Hispanic women (!)
due to its religious subject matter
and links to Catholicism.
The William
Brent Bell helmed
horror/thriller is sceduled to be
released via Paramount
Pictures' new, low-budget
horror films division Insurge
Pictures.
Given
that fact, no doubt, the film is
slated to be released on January
6th, a date with religious
undertones that is traditionally
observed in the Latin community as Día
de los Tres Reyes Magos
(AKA 3 Kings Day, Fest of Epiphany,
Day of the Magi, Twelfth Night,
Little Christmas, etc.). So it's no
wonder, then, that the producers
have also chosen to add some Latin
flavor to one of the film's
principal roles in the form of Brazilian
actressFernanda
Andrade(Sons
of Anarchy, Fallen),
who
plays Isabella Rossi, the daughter
of a woman - Maria Rossi (Suzan
Crowley) - who authorities
claim brutally
murdererd three people because
she was clinically insane. Shot on
location in Rome and Bucharest, Isabella
sets out to discover the
truth. While documenting her
experience with a film crew in
Italy, she becomes involved in a
series of unauthorized exorcisms.
LATIN
HORROR will bring you an interview
with Fernanda Andrada as the film
nears.
THE DEVIL INSIDE is scheduled to
be released on January 6, 2012.
